Abbott Cards: A Family Business
In 1977, from the seaside town of Marblehead,
Massachusetts, Edward O'Connor started Abbott Cards. A
salesman all his life, Ed understood the importance of saying
"thank you". With this in mind, he designed a thank you card
for companies to send to their customers. He began selling
these cards to New England companies and, before long, his
customers discovered that the cards greatly enhanced their
businesses. Today, Edward O'Connor's simple idea has blossomed
into a thriving business, serving more than 50,000 customers
across the United States.
Abbott Cards is now owned and operated by the second
generation of O'Connors: Mike, Jim, Kathy, and Mary. They
share and continue their father's belief in offering companies
